<description>ARUP Laboratories along with the University of Utah's Department of Pathology noticed the increase in medical errors and everyone involved with heatlhcare should know that ARUP is trying to bridge the communication gap between physicians and the lab by providing current laboratory test suggestions/interpretations through an online resource called ARUP Consult.

ARUP Consult- The Physician's Guide to Laboratory Test Selection and Interpretation is for physicians at the point of care. Since more than 80 percent of major healthcare decisions are based on lab test results, it is extremely important and vital to get the right information and diagnoses the first time. This resource will help alleviate misdiagnosis and unnecessary lab testing, resulting in saved time and money for both patient and physician.

Ask your physician if they've checked out ARUP Consult, or look it up for yourself the next time you get diagnosed with something and hopefully avoid potentially being misdiagnosed. I hope this helps.
